How long can I stay in a HeroHaus home?
A: HeroHaus housing is designed for long-term stability, not short-term shelter. Veterans can stay as long as they remain in good standing with lease terms and house guidelines. Our goal is to provide lasting, affordable housing—not temporary solutions.


Are utilities or furnishings included?
A:Yes. Each HeroHaus home includes all utilities—electric, water, and Wi-Fi—and most properties come with furnished common areas. Bedrooms may be furnished or unfurnished depending on availability and veteran preference.

How do I submit my property for consideration?
A: If you are a property owner interested in partnering with HeroHaus, pls complete the Partner & Property Owner Interest Form. Our team will review your submission and follow up with next steps.


What types of properties qualify?
A: Single-family homes, duplexes, and small multi-unit properties in good condition are ideal.


How are veterans selected?

A: All residents are referred through VA or SSVF programs and must meet HeroHaus’s independent-living criteria.


Who signs the lease?

A: HeroHaus leases the property directly from you. We are your single, reliable tenant contact, not the individual veterans. This removes administrative burden.

How is property maintenance handled?

A: HeroHaus coordinates with owners for repairs and provides light-touch oversight to ensure property care.


Is this a short-term rental program?
